About
Richard Barnes |
Richard has been
involved in local government in West London
since 1982 when he was first elected to
Hillingdon Council for Cowley ward.
Currently representing Harefield on
Hillingdon Council Richard is still very
much involved in local politics as well as
being a Member of the London Assembly
(A.M.).
A member of the Metropolitan Police
Authority, formerly Deputy Chair, law and
order / crime and disorder / London
resilience and safety are Richard’s foremost
interests on the Assembly and is the
Conservative spokesman on policing matters.
A member of the North West London Strategic
Health Authority, Richard readily recognises
that health, policing and local services are
inextricably inter linked and being involved
at a senior level in all three gives a
unique perspective on London and its health
and well being. |
